Too many suspensions for very small children. The children are being kicked out for 5 days or 10 days at a time for things that can be redirected. No other intervention but suspension. Poor school leadership

I had a very bad experience with the Benton Harbor Charter School. The staff is very unprofessional and the teachers are very disrespectful and rude to the children and parents, and low test scores(see for yourself). Amazing, I attended BHCS from 2001-2005 then came back in 2007 and graduated 8th grade in 2009. I loved the atmosphere, the amazing teachers and staff. Benton Harbor Charter School is a great school. Sure, their scores aren't the greatest in the are, but they are definietly on the rise. The area public school is not doing their job and when the students get to the charter school, the teachers have their work cut out for them. I commend the teachers...
