St. Francis Xavier School is located in the heart of the beautiful St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church campus in Birmingham, Alabama. Serving 210 students from kindergarten through eighth grade, St. Francis Xavier is a private school offering a Catholic education focusing on history, Western culture and the tradition of attaining virtue through study. Students are taught to be self-guided learners through practices such as reflection, close reading, logical thinking, analysis, synthesis, asking questions and making connections. The school embraces the trivium of grammar, logic and rhetoric by teaching factual knowledge, training students to think and guiding them to excellent ways of expression. In addition to core subjects, students learn music, Latin and art through an interdisciplinary format. Their curriculum also includes drama and creative expression.
St. Francis Xavier School has a diverse enrollment and provides modern instructional technology, is active in service to the community and is accredited through Cognia. The school is located within the Crestline community and serves families across the Birmingham area. It has been in operation since the church's founding in 1954.

Buyers beware! The best principal was Mrs.Finney she was awesome. I wish I had not brought my daughter back to the school the new principal definitely not good for certain kids. I’m going to have to finish it out but it’s a no for next year.

This is an excellent school. The teachers are very caring and work hard to make sure your child succeeds. I have two children here and they both love this school.
