GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I transferred to Blaine my junior year and loved the culture and people. I was welcomed into the school and athletic programs. It was easy to fit in and my academics picked up right where I left off the Summer before. I am glad I got to experience the Blaine school district as a part of my school education

Blaine High School has been everything I could have imagined from the high school experience and more. This is a school in a small town of barely five thousand people in the corner of the US, and this makes our city much closer and connected. It has amazing school spirit and music programs, and most of all I have met some of the most helpful and amazing teachers and people at this school.

Did running start as soon as I could. Overall an environment where administration picks favorites. I would not recommend sending your kid to this high school. It is the one high school in whatcom county that doesn't spread out to have relationships with other schools. Small town school can only provide you with so much.

We had to move to Blaine for family reasons. We worried about the high school before we moved here but hoped that we could just muddle through, since we didn't have many other public schooling options for 10th grade and homeschooling and virtual schooling didn't work for our family. BHS is run down...
