I graduated from Brewer High School in 2024; my high school experience was one to remember; I made the most of it. As for the school itself, looking back now as a full-time college student, the school had minimal effort in preparation for life after high school and/or for college work in general. I could adapt quickly to the dramatic shift, but it was difficult. I'm sure many of my fellow graduates from Brewer felt the same stress, and some were unable to adapt.

Overall, Brewer High School is a decent school. There are a good amount of clubs, activities, and academic opportunities for a school this size. There was a large amount of recent teacher turnover, which is partly attributed to the students and admin. There aren't many glaring issues, but there also isn't anything particularly positive about the school either.

I was at Brewer High for only my senior year after I transferred from an out of state school. The community is welcoming and engaging and the majority of the staff truly cares about their students. I never really had a negative experience during my final year of high school. It's a very inclusive and LGBT friendly environment.

This school is solely comprised of special need students and people from Brewer who can't afford the tuition to go anywhere else. Sending schools like Orrington and Holbrook send only their special needs students to Brewer. Brewer is very welcoming for these students but not for anyone else. If you'...

Bullying was a big issue at Brewer High. Wish there were more options for "fine arts" classes. Basic courses, basic athletics. Basic school.
