The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is full of propaganda and my child learned absolutely nothing. Nobody addresses bullying. Horrible horrible curriculum!!

Mt.Abraham Union High School is a place where everyone that enters can feel welcomed and accepted. The teachers always go out of their way to help students succeed by establishing meaningful relationships with one another. Academically, you are challenged as much as you allow yourself to be. There are a multitude of classes in each subject that allow students to choose the exact path they want to take with their time at Mount Abe.

I would not recommend Mount Abraham to anyone. I had a terrible experience over my years there. I was abused by a teacher, and I never felt supported or that I could trust anyone. In fact, I was even told to never speak up again. I then struggled with bullying which was always brushed off, and often happens to kids who go here. Most of us feel mistreated, pushed away, and shut down.
I'll start by saying that this school has a FEW outstanding teachers. However, for the most part, it's not a good school. My children come home telling me that they are bored in class, some of the teachers yell at the entire class on a regular basis, I've experienced teachers being very defensive wh...
I AM A DISAPOINTED PARENT OF THE BRISTOL SCHOOL SYSTEM THEY ARE FAILING OUR CHILDREN AND TREATING THEM LIKE THEY ARE JUST ANOTHER JOB. THEY HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR PARENTS TO CHECK ON THERE KIDS SCHOOL WORK AND IT DOES NOT WORK AND IS NOT ACURATE OR UP TO DATE BY THE TEACHERS THERE HAVING TO SEND...
The teachers at Mt. Abe are exemplary, amazing, wonderful, and I can't say enough good things about them. They teach students to actually think rather than simply regurgitate the "right" answer. This is unique for a public school, anywhere, and why I am glad that I went to Mt. Abe. That being said,...
