Bay Ridge Christian Academy opened its doors in 1984 and has been serving the neighborhoods of Sunset Park and Bay Ridge ever since, teaching students in preschool all the way through eighth grade.
The early childhood program dedicates itself to the cognitive development of its students with a literacy program and group learning through creative expression in play, classroom and outdoor activities, all preparing its young learners for kindergarten and beyond.
Elementary and middle school children are offered a Common Core curriculum using myView Literacy and Great Readers, Great Habits for literacy, and Savvas Learning for science, history and mathematics while ELA instruction utilizes Sadlier. Middle school students also enjoy Junior Great Books for their literacy learning, and take courses in American and world history as well as physical, earth and life sciences.
Class sizes are capped at 15 and the school offers after school care until 5:00 p.m. Students can also participate in numerous school events like the art and poetry expo, career week and numerous performing arts opportunities.

A excellent school. I was honored to see the growth of the children. Their testing scores compared to public school was amazing. I recommend this school to all.

This school is a safe haven for both faculty and students. Surrounded by a supportive and loving environment, students are able to be excited about their academics as well as the various events and extracurricular activities throughout the year.
