I have only been at Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy for two years but I have seen many positive and negative aspects of the school. Many teachers have been involved in less than favorable situations and many students have been ignored through their fight for change. Though the education here is positively amazing and challenging, the environment is a bit flawed.

I love how they incorporated sisterhood and allowed us to shine in many ways. We were able to put a lot of energy in different factors: community service, sciences, and performing arts. One thing they can fix is planning the college process earlier. It felt kind of rushed having to juggle exams and college offers. I wish I could've focused on one at a time. Otherwise I like how safe the school made me feel.

I have met so many wonderful people here and been pushed to be the best version of myself. I think that it takes a bit of time to adjust to the transition from 8th grade to 9th grade, especially if an all girl's school is something that you are not used to, but with some open-mindedness you will have a great time.
