GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

When I visited, the one thing I liked was the people there. The students and teacher were all willing to answer my questions and were extremely friendly and welcoming. It seemed like a great environment.

I felt that it was decent, there are a lot of pros and cons within the school that I felt could be improved upon. For example, we have a lack of support from the teachers and a lack of communication when it comes to grades, but there is always at least one person you can turn to for help

Brooklyn Latin is a very small school and because of this you will feel very connected to everyone, your classmates and your teachers. This creates a sense of community that you can't get in many other schools. However, our school building is very small and you share the building with two other schools. Even though the school knows that it's a small space, they keep accepting more students per year, making the hallways more and more crowded.

This school takes children and baselessly put them into special education, that's how it gets its high ratings.

Too much homework. Too much stress from public speaking. Curriculum is boring. This school is way underfunded and doesn’t really feel like a community. Uniform sucks. So many better options than this. You have a higher chance of getting into a good college if you get good grades at an average school...
