My experience with Brooklyn Tech was pretty nice. They do a really good job with preparing you for the future via majors and student advisory. The academics are also pretty good, though I'd say how effective they are depends on which teacher you have. Most of them are pretty good, but if you're unlucky enough, you could end up with a teacher who is not as great and will end up tanking your GPA. Commute is also something to think about when applying to this school. Brooklyn Tech is in, well, Brooklyn. I live in Queens, so my commute was about an hour and a half long. And since I started 1st period for most of high school, I had to wake up at 5:50 AM to get to school on time. I don't think it's much of an issue if you live in Brooklyn, but if you live in Queens or somewhere farther, you should definitely think about commute times.

It's a good school because it's big and full of different clubs and students and the major system is amazing. You get to have a taste of a future you might pursue and either be prepared for it or save yourself a whole lot of money and time. Very nice. The only issue with tech is because of the amount of students, the teachers will not give the students that much extra help.

The best part about Brooklyn Technical High School is that it's the largest high school in the United States so there are significant amount of chances to meet new people and make connections, these connections made here can impact your future life. The worst part of it would be the food they offer because they look and taste disgusting most of the day of the week.

As a parent of a student at Brooklyn Technical High School, I can say with confidence that this school has been a fantastic choice for our family. Like many parents, I had initial concerns because of the school’s size—it’s one of the largest high schools in the country, with a massive building and t...

Excellent school, very safe environment and the staff, leaders and teachers ensure the community is getting all of its resources and knowledge to set them up for success. Almost 6000 students in the school, quite impressive!

The school is far from perfect but it does well given the number of students.
