McKinney Is a performing arts school that helped me get out my shell through vocal and performances. The teachers and staff that worked there truly cared about the students and went above and beyond. The only thing I wished was different was having to worry about uniform.

McKinney is one of the best Performing Arts High Schools ever because for once it's not just about competition. It's a school where students are taught to work together and bring each other up instead of competing with them. The teachers are extremely supportive and cool. They always have the students best interest in mind when coming up with new teaching styles or even creating new projects. People often get turned off by the fact that it's a small school but honestly that's what makes us all like family.

Dr. Susan S McKinney is a great school it's just the kids make it seem bad. The learning process at the school is great teachers make sure their students are doing what they need to do to pass. Not only is learning fun but also the fun activities within the school such as dance, music, art, theatre, basketball, cheerleading and much more.

Horrible, horrible school. Transfer immediately. Academics suffer in a chaotic, disrespectful environment. Bullying is the norm, and the teachers and facultly misrepresent the school to prospective students. They keep talking about an A grade from several years ago, when their current grade is a C....

I used to teach at this school many years ago. I'm Ms. Ramsaroop. To date, the principal, Ms. Holmes, has remained on my list of most influential people I have ever met and worked for. My list is quite small, five names, maximum. She loved her students unconditionally and her school was always her f...

The curriculum is by no means "dumbed down" for the students. The teachers that work at this school are some of the hardest working professionals out there. They put in extra time with my nephew. The administration is extremely difficult to deal with from a parent/family standpoint as well as what o...

As a former teacher at this school , I must agree with the recent statements. If your child is sent to McKinney, please, please get a transfer the same day! Run don't walk! I've seen many potential scholars not flourish due to the politics of the principal, assistant principal and union. Teachers ne...
