I'd say the best parts of my experience were the extracurricular activities that I participated in. It helped me learn new things and gave me a lot of connections. The worst I would say is that if you wanted to school to do something for you, you would really have to advocate for yourself because if you didn't say anything, nothing would get done.

It's been an ok experience overall, most of the teachers do actually care about the students, and the faculty are introducing new programs to improve the school. The only real problems are the students and the lack of funding for the school, and the less than stellar educational experience the school offers. The school is that all bad it just needs to improve in those areas, and maybe introduce some new sports teams such as soccer, or football.

Overall, John Jay has great academics and community but can improve on having more music and art programs. It can also better itself in safety in regards to the students and staff on campus.

As a former student, I witnessed the chaotic system of the prinicpal at its finest. She was not motivational at all torwards the entire student body, but only to those who had high grades. The workload was decent depending on your teachers but there was little to no help provided. All of the support...

The Principal is the source of conflict and strife at the school. As a teacher at the school, I have seen how she gets around rules and does not help students to get an education. Her goal is to get students graduated by the fact that they have credits, but whatever those credits mean is not her con...

It can be very miserable teaching in this school. The administration is not very helpful. If you ask for help or raise a disagreement about a policy, you are called into the office and basically told to start being a team player. The principal constantly talks under her breadth to show her disappoin...
