My child attends PS118 and there are a few aspects about the school which standout to me: - Drama and science are big assets. Our science class has a hydroponics lab and we have a garden. All grades have drama, led by the acclaimed John McEneny. - Meet the author program, where each grade meets authors and illustrators and learns about their work. - Our school administration has put an emphasis on encouraging parents' input on enrichments and electives. For instance, chess has become an enrichment. - Our after school program. Our PTA has worked closely with our school to set up a program that keeps the kids engaged after hours. The PTA also provided financial assistance for those families that need it. - Active and welcoming PTA. We are a small community where you won't feel lost. Our PTA organizes many social events (for parents and kids), supports school activities (like dances, talent show), and helps to raise funds (like for a second adult in our K-2 classes)
