I graduated from here a few years ago. The enrichment programs was probably the only good thing about my experience here. Favoritism is a big thing in the classrooms, I don't know if this is still the case but back in my day teachers tend to only help and provide guidance to students who are already excelling in class. But those who actually needed help and didn't understand the work were pushed to the side and were punished for not understanding the work and faced humiliation from teachers. We were never allowed to be kids. We received a heavy workload year round, so I became isolated from other people since I had to stay inside all day so I can complete assignments. Racial micro aggressions especially from white female teachers was a daily thing. And as a young black girl it negatively impacted my self esteem and how I carried myself. When I entered this school I was very outgoing and full of life. But I left this school a person with low self esteem and social anxiety.

My experience with Ocean Hill Collegiate Charter School has been extremely disappointing. The communication between the school and parents is severely lacking, making it difficult to stay informed about my child's progress and any issues that arise. The curriculum seems outdated and fails to engage...
