P.S. 124 Silas B Dutcher classrooms have higher teacher-student ratios so that special needs students can work alongside their peers. There is a science lab where students put their knowledge to the test through practical projects and experiments. In addition, there is an art studio where students can get messy with paint, clay, and paper-mâché. This school is proud to offer a balance of academics, technology, and the arts. Former students return to P.S. 124 Silas B. Ducher later in life with fond memories to thank their childhood teachers.

Great small school. Perfect for an elementary school. Teachers and students are very much family. Wonderful science and Art teacher. My kids truly have the best experience learning and making up the social ladder.

This used to be a good school. The teachers are overwhelmed and they don't have any assistance. They have to worry about whether the spanish speaking kids understood the lesson, meanwhile the other kids are being ignored. The school's mission seems to be more about giving free items and less on actu...

As years go by the school has not been such a good choice for some parents/kids. There are no boundaries, teachers are always unprepared and you have kids that are bullies, discrimination and teachers/staff seem to just ignore issues and or have favorites.
