Small and friendly community, and they do their best with the resources they're given. While my interest, Computer Science, doesn't have any electives there, they still have a wide range of electives for many varying interests.

I moved to Bucksport High School my senior year and this has by far been my greatest year of school. Everyone around the school is so friendly and always smiling. The quality of teaching and college readiness is excellent. I feel as though when I walk out on the night of graduation I will be ready to start my college education. As for change, I don't feel anything needs to change. But having more choice in electives for the upperclassmen.

I personally loved Bucksport High School, it had a great atmosphere and I feel like I was fully accepted there as well as my peers. Something Bucksport High School could improve on is the diversity of classes available to students and the readiness for college of graduating students. I don't think the majority of kids are ready or know what to expect at college after leaving Bucksport High School and aren't prepared as well as they could be before leaving. I honestly think part of that problem has to do with standards based learning... being able to turn anything in at any point of your 4 years is something that people don't get to do in college or anywhere else in life and I feel like that is setting some kids up for failure. Other than that, Bucksport High School gave me some of my most fond memories as a teen and I would 100% support them in the future.
