Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Alumni graduate of Burlingame Intermediate. Lots of parent involvement-almost too much. Does not prepare students for high school level courses of any subject. Not comparable to other middle schools in the district. Faculty and administration are nice and caring, but cannot get down to business when teaching students.

bad, disinterested teachers, snobby/mean kids, ineffective/aloof administration. With its metal gates, large size, dog-eat-dog environment, BIS feels more like an urban school than a suburban school. Was very disappointed in the "quality" of the teachers.... I think my kid would've learned more from Khan Academy.

In bis I had trouble socializing a lot, and I get bullied and picked on sometimes. I don’t really like this school because some other students from this school are bullies and are bad kids and they pulled my hair and put trash on my lunch. The teachers or the staffs don’t really care, only other stu...

Fights have happened right outside of classrooms while I was still inside. The...

Some teachers care about your mental health others don’t, some teachers actually teach, but other, they don’t really teach or explain ve...
