GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is quite diverse, but it is quite unsafe. The traffic and the surrounding area is quite busy and students continuously fight. The staff tries their best, but are limited with the funding they receive.

I came to Burlington City High School from a preparatory school located in Willingboro. I am originally from Florida so moving from that hot Southern atmosphere to this cold, windy Northern atmosphere wasn't exactly easy. People spoke differently and acted differently from what I am used to but I was able to easily adapt to new people and new surroundings in a fun and safe way.

You're exposed to many types of different people at such an early age with a broad age range I should mention. This school is the best we make of it and honestly is not bad as people infer it is. It is a small school, yes but that makes it special because we are so united. We are like siblings, we butt heads from time to time but when it comes for us to do something for the better like our community or fighting for a right, we work as a team. I would not have wanted to go to any other school to gain the experience I have gotten here. I would like to see more programs here and I would like our awareness to grow.

What an exciting time to join the Burlington City High School community! They are hitting the ground running this 2013-14 school year. The staff, with their energetic new principal definitely were not just sunning themselves at the beach during this past summer. Many great initiatives were shared du...

I went to Burling city schools my entire life. Graduating in 2008 I went to one of the top rated public colleges in the country and was sorely dissapointed at the lack of diversity and chartacter I recieved from burlington. I worked hard and played varsity sports and was highly involved in the music...
