The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I attended BEHS my entire four years of high school and I can safely say that the majority of the faculty are incredible educators. I received so much support from so many different avenues. Several extracurriculars could appeal to any and every student attending. The worst part about BEHS was the overall student body and the consequences of poor behavior. There was always at least one fight a week and at least one student in each class who was an active drug user. I would like to see a stronger community within the high school campus that allows for students to support each other in healthy ways.

When I was younger I was so excited to go to high school. I was expecting the type of high schools they portray in the movies. So you can imagine my supersize when I got there. People weren't singing in the halls like in High School Musical or Glee. There were no jocks falling in love with nerds. And those Magical teacher and student moments, well I guess I'm still waiting for mine. The reason I label this school as average, is not because it wasn't like the movies. It is because it is so ordinary. Nothing special. Its like I'm getting set up for an average life, and that's not for me.
I have two kids with either an IEP or 504 and getting support for them is tough. If your kid isn't confident enough to speak up for themselves, they will get talked over and ignored (while still needing help). You and your child also have to be advocating for their accomodations or they don't get th...
