Burtonsville Elementary School is a great school because the principal, teachers, staff are very welcoming and very caring. The teachers are very knowledgeable . Both my kids didn't go to daycare before starting kindergarten but they both started reading chapter books before first grade. Burtonsville Elementary School is a great school for us.

This has been a good space and place to learn. I am impressed with the low staff turn over. Many of the teachers and staff have been there over 5 years.I love the level of communication and transparency the administrion exhibits. The motto of "Kids First"

Excellent school with great teachers. They have an incredibly caring staff and the school is well stocked with resources for the students. Not overcrowded like some other schools in MCPS. Highly recommend!

Mixed. The quality of the school has gone way down hill since my first child started there in 2009-2010. The student body coming to Burtonsville seems to be a rougher crowd now with rougher parents. The school's previous principal was kind of abrasive and annoying but she was a great leader and care...
