GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My LBGTQ child was bullied by their peers and a couple staff members. My child was labeled a troublemaker and intentionally being ignored and mistreated by staff because of him identifying as a boy. We met with the superintendent and he took the side of his staff and ignored our concerns. They made my child sit in her period blood to prove that they are a girl even though he identifies as a boy. Our child socially transitioned from girl to boy in 6th grade. We almost sued but our child begged us not to. We ended up switching to Kasson-Mantorville School District and it has been a million percent improvement. We even enrolled our Kindergartener in Kasson-Mantorville because we have no faith in the Byron School District. We drive our children to and from school in Kasson-Mantorville every day in order to avoid Byron.

Amazing school. My previous school was living hell. This school is not focused on homework as much as I have heard. Teachers are very nice. A couple I don't like but they aren't terrible. Definitely recommend.

What a wonderful program and I hope they never stop it. We were very pleased with the teacher quality and how they keep the kids engaged. The math teachers...

This school is very focused on homework, homework, homework. My kids can have 3+ hours of homework per night...it is ridiculous. AI also had to fight to get the teachers to follow my daughter's IEP (state law). They spend a great deal of the year reviewing for those tests...a lot of time that should...
