With a lineage going back to 1890, Indian Knoll Elementary has been one of Cherokee County's largest educators for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, serving nearly 1,000 students in the Holly Park area. Indian Knoll prides itself on providing all of the resources students need to be the best they can be, including early intervention programs, remedial education services, English as a second language courses and a gifted program.
Children attending Indian Knoll Elementary have the undivided attention and diligence of educators who create an environment tailored to different learning styles. One of the most important skills a child can cultivate is socialization and understanding the importance of community, and there are several clubs and student activities at Indian Knoll that are geared towards bringing students closer together. Students can join the IKES News Team, become a Safety Patrol or participate in Junior. Beta Club, Academic Bowl, Science Olympiad and chorus.
The Cherokee County School District is one of the fastest growing in the state, and Indian Knoll has developed and evolved into a wonderful elementary school option since it’s opening in 2011.
