The Arts Academy at Summit is an innovative school open to kindergarten through sixth-grade students across the Canton City School District. The school is located on the north end of the Summit neighborhood.
Students need to apply to attend the academy, which offers an arts-based curriculum that allows them to focus on vocal, instrumental, dance, theater, and visual arts. They are required to complete an audition in their selected field to demonstrate their proficiency and desire. Teachers are trained in research-based literacy and best teaching practices, focusing on social and emotional learning while creating an individualized learning path for each child.
For children in grades kindergarten through third, staff members focus on literacy and number sense to build a solid foundation for academic achievement in the following years. Teachers work to integrate learning in all content areas for students in grades fourth through sixth.
The Canton City School District serves other primary- and intermediate-level students in the neighborhood at nearby Gibbs Elementary and Clarendon Intermediate schools.

I was encouraged to bring my child to this school for the CHAP program. There is nothing accelerated at this school with the exception of 30 minus of "intense" at the end of a day. Children are not encouraged in their own strengths and the classrooms are over crowded. Trying to get updates on grades...

10/10 so far! :)They encourage creativity and challenge the students. My son is in CHAP and struggle with not being challenged at his last school and even bullied. Arts Aced. has given him confidence and he truly loves school now. It an amazing school- we couldn’t be happier! No complaints here!
