This school is one of the best in Iowa, from academics and activities to student involvement. The school works hard to make sure every student feels like they belong and has a place at Carlisle. The administration and teachers make you feel safe and genuinely care about students learning.

The review from the student below is as accurate now as it was when written. If your child is not enrolled in sports, he or she is considered second class. They also don't seem to do well with learning disabilities. They need to focus more on teaching and helping students succeed. The administration and counselors are either overwhelmed, or they only care about helping certain students and not all students.

Carlisle is not a very large school so it's very easy to get help from teachers if you need it. It is not very diverse so minorities might not be that comfortable here. Our literature scores are not very good. Overall it's better then most schools in Iowa but it's definitely not the best.
