GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I like the 10 minute passing period. It's a good length of time, allowing me to get to class without stressing and review class material before the class is started. One complaint I have is how crowded the hallways are. For example, the doorway of the A Hall to the B Hall is always a choke point in the first few minutes of passing period, slowing down foot traffic a lot. The commons is also pretty crowded, many people are standing around in groups.

My experience has been great as far as resources, and teachers, I really feel a majority of teachers here actually care for me, and there are a lot of resources that are here to help me, you just have to actually go get those resources. as for administration, they lack. Multiple problems with other students have been addressed, and every time they have failed to do anything productive.

This school assumes everyone works around them and everyone including parents that are new to the school system know everything. Also it doesnt look like they try to help students that need help but more so create confusion. If a kid needs guidance he or she would be lost in this school environment....

Carmel High School is an interesting school to say the least. It's definitely very hard to make friends unless you're not in a "clique" and even on sports teams and such all the "popular" people are together in a little friend group and you're left out if you're not like them. In terms of diversity...
