The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My best experience in this school is learning to do real life useful stuff that can help me in the real world. For example we were taught how to apply to college and what loans, if needed, we could apply to. As well as taught how to do taxes. My worst experience was feeling like my counselor was bringing me, along with others, down based on where we wanted to go to college. I would like to see more school wide volunteer hours instead of leaving it to us to volunteer outside because sometimes there isn't any time for that. Also I would like to see more people to ask for questions based on college not just two people.

Wilmington Early College High School (Wechs) is a great school to attend. By attending Wechs get to meet very wonderful people and you are helping prepare yourself for a college experience.

It is a small school, which means the student-teacher ratio is more balanced. You are able to graduate with both a high school degree and an associate's degree. The only problems I had with this school were due to the covid-19 pandemic. They did not prepare us for college admissions or scholarships.
The administration has no respect students privacy. Uses general terms to bypass and confidentiality. Would not recommend doing any counseling or private talk anywhere near any faculty or staff - definitely not near the principal.
My son loves attending WECHS - lots of one-on-one instruction and support. He enjoys attending school with other students who are serious about their academic future but still have fun.
This is our first year at the school and we love it. It is a great high school/college experience. The classes are small and the students and staff become a family. The only negative I have is that communication could be better. Parents are often given information about events, activities, and times...
The teachers are fantastic! Take time to ensure students learn both in and out of the classroom. The staff make it a point that every student has supported both at school and at home. My daughter has discovered her leadership skills as a student at WECHS. I LOVE this school!
