The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Would love to see the running and field hockey teams get some more love, but generally the community and faculty is great.

Over all I think that the school need smore funding, but what school doesn't. It has excellent staff that really care about teaching and will go above and beyond to help the kids learn. The only issue is the higherup powers, being the super intendants goals to give school spirit. Most of the ideas are a waste of money and treated as a joke by the school. Recently Dr. Terry Ward has given himself a $48,000 in the midst of a pandemic with no benefits for the teachers. Take that as you will, but the foundations of Cato are great.

For a small school there's actually quite a few options

I find it interesting when I read a parent stating CM did not prepare their child for college. I graduated from CMCS over two decades ago, and even then, the district offered extensive options for learning, including AP, Independent, Equivalency, and Regents. I did not flourish in a traditional clas...
Excellent school, the teachers are avaiablefor one on one time with a student. the only concern that i have was the principal she tends not to keep a promise nor run the school in an orderly fashion. She rarley addresses a problem and if she does it never follows through to the student
Cato-Meridian is one of the top schools in the State. Great facilities, great teachers, and an outstanding environment to grow up in. I was extremely blessed to grow up in such a tight knit town. I now am very successful in my professional life and owe it all to being raised a Blue Devil!!!
