If your child isn't chicly and athletic I wouldn't recommend them going here. the campus is very pretty but the food is average on its best day.

Gunston is a tight knit community with teachers who are trained to care. There is a lot of talk about teachers always being there to help but I have had a hard time connecting. I do not think it is worth what it costs considering nothing has stuck out to me as being done for the students. It has a very nice campus but the lunch is horrible and the classes are average.

The Gunston School is set on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay on the Corsica River. The school provides many opportunities for community engagement and leadership. In general, the students and faculty are kind and helpful to all. They seriously have provided me with an amazing education but one has to make the most of their experience.

I somewhat agree with the two star rating. Putting all personal opinions aside, Gunston is a decent school. It has challenging classes, most of its teachers are competent, and has strong athletics. Unfortunately for the student who posted her comment just before mine, she is entirely wrong. Gunston gives out 700,000$ in financial aid a year! And 45% of student receive that financial aid.
