Overall safe school that prepares you well enough for college. It's important to find clubs, activities, and friends that you align with in order to have the best time.

The school in general is very good, however lacks in many classes and resources compared to other schools in the same district. It's small and can be hard to navigate in fields other than STEM, as they are primarily focused on this.

The school puts more money into the sports programs than the arts programs, especially theatre. Last year, the visual arts program had to allocate half of its money and send in to the performing arts program just to fix things like lighting, speakers and so on that haven't been replaced in about a decade. Despite how little they invested in the art program, they put a lot of money on our football which has won a grand total of 1 CIF championship in over 50 years.

I have no idea how this place has a reputation of a “good school.” Everything about this place is messed up and no one cares to fix it. Most classes are spent either self-taught or the teacher is cursing the students out for not understanding. I basically have to look up whatever unit we’re on becau...

Horrible disappointment. I'm an educator and almost immediately knew we were going to have problems. The attitude at CHS is pretty black and white: Teachers teach and the onus of learning is on the kids and their households. They also teach to a very specific population of their classes so if you do...

Teachers especially math teachers are not motivating. Many students in this school are super stressed and lost their grades when they come to 10th grade or 11th grade because Math teachers are not motivating enough. If your kids are super excited to go to school in elementary and middle schools, for...

This school covers up a lot of incidents, especially about gun violence (there were a lot of news articles covering some incidents, but I heard about many more from my child). I am afraid for my child's safety while he is attending school. I even asked the staff about it, but they were unhelpful, sl...
