GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The Academics at Forrest High School have prepared me well for taking the next step into the real world. I play Varsity baseball and it has helped me learn how to become a better person and man.

small town vibes, everyone knows everyone, sometimes a bad thing as rumors spread like wildfire. Decent focus on academics but athletics is definitely main focus.

It is definitely a small town school in every sense of the phrase. Sports are very important here, meaning education is sometimes lacking. Other than that it is a wonderful welcoming school.

The teacher student ratio in each class is fairly low, the teachers and administration know the kids by name, and the school exhibits pride and tradition in most things they do. There is a wide array of extra curricular activi...

Our child has excelled academically since we've moved to Chapel Hill / Forrest School four years ago. The smaller classrooms kept our child from getting lost in the classroom, al...

Horrible. One of my friends is autistic and she is a victim of bullying from both a teacher and several students. I've reported a student several times because of bullying and he hasn't faced any consequences. The teacher that was in the room at the time yelled at her for not understanding the work...
