GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Chapmanville Regional has been a decent place to be over the span of my 4 years of high school. I have been very involved and have had a good time. The best part of this school is 100% the English/ Language, and the Arts programs. The teachers are top tier and have taught me everything I need to know to prepare me for college, I however would say that the math and science programs need some work, as I feel like I have not learned enough about those subjects to be prepared for college.

I really have enjoyed my time in chapmanville, i came from a school about an hour away and ended up loving it here. Everyone here treats you like family and the academics are amazing for such a rural town.

Often teachers were careless in their studies. Since we are located in southern West Virginia, resources are not as readily available, making college transition a greater deal.
