Some give excessive busy work or large projects to elementary schoolers or middle schoolers (6th grade). Some were great role models and some were known in the community for being not the best.

The small classroom setting and support for gifted and lagging students was much appreciated. Throughout every classroom there were memories to made and experiences to gather and explore as a community. There was also cross-grade interaction, so younger students could meet older ones and older students could act as a mentor to younger ones.

It is school culture to know your child. The Head of School is very visible and accesable. The office staff is welcoming and reliable. The faculty are clear on policies so there is no confusion between families and staff. The Lower School (PreK-5) and Middle School (6-8) communicate well on transition. There is an open door policy on communication with families and students. Students are encouraged to approach administration with ideas and concerns.

I cannot express how awful this school is. If you are a blonde hair, blue eyed, horseback riding and tennis playing female from an upper class family, with absolutely no social difficulties or learning difficulties, you will do great. Montgomery School offers everything a child could possibly need. The staff is so warm and loving, academics are challenging and interesting, and the students are loving and supportive towards each other. We love it here so much

Our daughter thrived at Montgomery pre-k through 8th grade. Small classes allowed teachers to really get to know our child.
