I was in the specailty center for theatre and I enjoyed my experience. Although, because I was in that specialty center I felt disconnected from the rest of the school. I felt more involved when there was big school events like football games, prom, etc.

I transferred to Thomas Dale High School in 2025, my senior year of high school. My transition started a little rough, as it took quite a while for my records to be transferred, and took my mom contacting the school to get the transfer complete. While the remainder of my year was fairly smoothe, I do wish the counselors were more engaging and assisted more with question regarding the college process, scholarships, etc.

I started at Dale at the beginning of my Senior year. I had been home schooled since second grade and a lot of my friends convinced me to return to public school just to "get the high school experience". I am thoroughly underwhelmed, or you could say overwhelmed in the worst way. I do enjoy the social aspect of public school and having teachers I can interact with, not all of them are great though, but there are a lot of down sides to this. There is a reason kids call our school Thomas "Jail", it feels like a prison. Not just because the school is so old but there are a lot of kids who do not care for safety. Teachers are not the best either, I have had a lot of really negative experiences with some. The building is not one of the cleanest and there just isn't a lot of opportunities here. I would never recommend someone to attend this school. With that said I don't hate it and I do enjoy my days, there are just a lot of down sides.

With 3 children, one already graduated from Thomas Dale, I can confidently say each individual student’s experience at Thomas Dale will directly reflect the choices that student makes - who they choose to be friends with, how much they choose to study, how engaged they choose to be. Thomas Dale has...

Both of my children have attended Thomas Dale High School. I have found the teachers to be kind and caring and the administration to go above and beyond on more than one occasion. The community within the school is hard to miss and makes Thomas Dale home to the students and staff. Like anything, you...

Something else that should be mentioned is that the "cameras" outside most likely don't work. I believe this because someone broke into my brother's car after school hours, where it was parked in the teacher parking lot, and they "couldn't pull up the tapes." So either they can't be bothered when th...

It was ok I guess you could say. The staff in the front office are lazy and don't want to process requests. Teachers are nasty and rude towards students AND PARENTS and they don't have any sympathy when a student is out sick or has family issues. Teachers are ALWAYS late to class, but get onto child...
