Located at 1439 W. Wellington Ave., Lakeview's St. Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts (AACA) serves pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students with a focus on developing the whole child intellectually, spiritually and emotionally. Emphasizing a rigorous academic program, the St. Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. department of Education. AACA is one of only nine schools in Illinois to receive the prestigious award in 2019.
508 students are enrolled in AACA and enjoy an average student-to-teacher ratio of 17-to-1. Students demonstrate incredible proficiency in both math and reading. 100% of AACA’s seventh and eighth grade students are proficient readers and over 72% are proficient in math.
AACA's coursework prepares students for high school careers and over 95% of AACA's students are accepted into the high school of their choice.
Athletics at AACA include cross country, track and field, basketball, volleyball, flag football and cheer. AACA's Rockets soar to victory both on and off the field, acquiring empathy, resiliency and better communication skills along the way.
Students at AACA attend Mass once a week and the sacraments, prayers and history of the Church are important parts of every student's journey at AACA.
