Amundsen High School does exactly what it's meant to do, in terms of being a school. Some things really need to change, but overall, it's a better experience than most other high schools in Chicago. Being a student here makes you really unhappy though.

Its a wonderful school with helpful staff, charismatic teachers and opportunities galore. Through my 4 years here I've experienced a welcoming environment and outlets to express my creativity through two of the many clubs. If you're on the north side of Chicago id highly recommended this school for 8th graders.

The school is very nice and is always over filled with seats because of how highly rated it is. The school offers many forms of tutoring, and the teachers truly care about your education. They offer multiple levels of classes such as regular, honors, AP, dual-credit, and IB programs.
