The best past about being a part of Back of the Yards IB HS is that they provide a lot of extra resources for students who need additional help in school and college. The worst parts would be how the safety in this school can sometimes be low. I would like to see this school become more strict about how students treat each other.

There are many supporting teachers and staff members that are willing to provide help whenever a student needs it. I also love how it is new and well-maintained. I love how they offer different academic programs to fit your needs: regulars, honors, AP, and IB (both DP and CP). Despite it being in a poor Chicago community, staff members ensure that students are safe by enforcing daily bookbag checks and metal detectors.
