Bridge Elementary School serves preschool through eighth grade students in the community of Dunning. The school’s core curriculum is built around Collaborative Literacy, Daily 5 and CAFE, Eureka Math and Amplify Science using small and whole group participation methods. Plus, weekly STEM classes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics emphasize digital preparedness and expertise. Providing individualized instruction within a broader classroom environment, Bridge Elementary offers enrichment opportunities with an athletics program and various extracurriculars. The blue and white Bulldogs are tough fifth through eighth grade competitors in soccer, flag football, volleyball, cross-country, basketball and coed cheerleading. Students can also participate in a long list of clubs and activities that include yoga, rock band, drama, knitting, coding, yearbook, Girls on the Run, movie making and dance. A highly recognized and accomplished school, Bridge Elementary is a CPS Level 1+ Achievement School, a CPS Level 1 Arts Certification School and a CPS Exemplary Achievement Award Winner. Enrolling over 1,000 preschool, elementary and middle school students, Bridge Elementary strives to prepare children in Chicago’s Dunning neighborhood for successful high school careers. With high scholastic standards and a dynamic learning environment, Bridge Elementary School fulfills its mission to cultivate intelligent, kind and socially aware students with valuable 21st century skills.

The administration has become so lenient partly because CPS as a whole does not condone disciplinary actions towards unruly students and partly because the principal is young and attempts to appease all.
