Located at 541 W Hawthorne Pl., the Chicago Day School serves junior kindergarten through eighth grade with a private education in an urban setting. For nearly 40 years, the Chicago Day School has prioritized independent learning and the pursuit of personal excellence, enrolling 200 students who enjoy a student-to-teacher ratio of 10-to-1 and an average class size of 25.

My son has been a student at City Day for 9 years and I have seen great growth both academically as well as emotionally. The smaller class sizes and core academic groups have really made a difference in his learning. The teachers all know him very well and can cater to his individual needs.
