The Gale Community Academy serves Chicago's northside at 1631 W. Jonquil Terrace and waves its blue and gold school colors proudly in the Rogers Park neighborhood. Offering a public education for preschoolers through eighth-graders, Gale Community Academy emphasizes developing the whole child, both emotionally and socially throughout their early and primary years. Enrolling approximately 200 students with an average class size of 25, Gale Community Academy employs bilingual teachers to support the school's variety of spoken languages. Working toward improving learning opportunities for its students, Gale Community Academy is committed to becoming a Level 1 school. Striving to meet academic goals and impact children's lives with creative educational choices, Gale Community Academy enriches its core curriculum with an advanced fine arts program, as well as city-based agricultural studies. Before- and after-school activities are sponsored by neighboring Loyola University and include chess, STEM, self-esteem-building exercises, music, dance, martial arts and academic assistance through tutoring. As part of Chicago Public Schools’ “CPS SCORE!” initiative, students at Gale Community Academy may participate in cross country, volleyball and soccer in the fall; cheer, basketball and wrestling in the winter; and soccer, track and field and football in the spring. Gale Community Academy continues to engage children with positivity and passion.

It was okay I have been apart of the school for 2nd grade to 5th grade and i could say all of my years at gale was amazing but 5th grade was a different story that one year everything went down hill and i couldn't take it anyone so i went to i different school for 6th grade im still in 6th grade and i think i regret everything because gale helped my with the real world and some schools dont do that and the faxed that they did helped me alot and im so very thankful for what they tought me

I have been around Gale School for many years. The school has made major improvements since the current principal and assistant principal has been there. The office staff is polite and professional and both buildings. Teaching and learning is improving but there are still many challenges and uphill...
