Pulaski International School of Chicago, formally known as Pulaski Fine Arts Academy, is a highly rated public school in the heart of Bucktown in Logan Square. Nestled among trees, manicured hedges and concrete, it provides a broad-based education to over 800 students in prekindergarten through eighth grade and offers a range of academic and recreation programs to prepare them to succeed in an international world.
Pulaski International School has a teacher-to-student ratio of 18-to-1, achieving the highest rating in Chicago Public Schools. It is recognized as one of the most diverse schools in Chicago and is one of just seven Chicago elementary schools to offer an International Baccalaureate curriculum. Developed in Switzerland in 1968 as college preparation for the children of diplomats, the International Baccalaureate program trains students to be self-directed thinkers and reflective problem solvers.
The school provides a well-equipped playground, green play space and a small soccer field. On the opposite side of the building, there is a large soccer field, a running track and outdoor exercise equipment.
A great neighborhood school and a regional gifted center for Spanish-speaking English language learners, Pulaski International School also offers a range of free and tuition-based programs before and after school for academics and recreation.

My son is in the gifted program. He has been here since Kinder-garden now he is going into 7 Grade. The classes are challenging for the kids on this program, but they like it and they way more advance than the regular classes,. We are happy with the program plus is in IB School.
