Ravenswood Baptist Christian School is a small private school located in the heart of Ravenswood. It opened as an educational extension of the Ravenswood Baptist Church in 1972 out of a desire to provide a Christian school to residents on the north end of Chicago.
The school serves pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, with a small enrollment of less than 50 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of 6-to-1.
Ravenswood Baptist Christian School tentatively accepts students following a successful interview with the administration. Final admission is contingent on acceptable results from required testing and a review of any permanent records from a student’s previous educational institution, if applicable.
Tuition can be paid as a lump sum, at the start of each semester or monthly. Multi-child discounts are available for students in the same direct family.
The school observes a traditional 180-day school year. It also offers summer programming for children 3 to 12 years old, as Kid City Summer Camp is open to both enrolled students and other neighborhood children. The camp offers indoor and outdoor activities, as well as special events such as field trips.
