St. Luke Academy is part of St. Luke Ministries in Chicago, serving pre-kindergarten through fourth grade students with a private religious and academic education for over 140 years.
At St. Luke, learning is customized to meet individual children's needs and first through fourth graders enjoy a student-to-teacher ratio of just 5-to-1. 85% of St. Luke's students are proficient readers and 89% test at or above required proficiency levels in math.
A demanding academic curriculum is supported by appreciation, kindness and empathy, focused on the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of children.
Core classes in math, science and literature are supplemented with studies in Spanish, music, technology, physical education and religion. Students at St. Luke are encouraged to remain curious and engaged through extracurricular activities like rock wall climbing, piano lessons and afterschool clubs.
Every summer, St. Luke Academy students are invited to attend the Summer Bridge Camp. From June through August, students build on a traditional classroom experience with additional coursework in reading, writing and math, while improving their listening and speaking skills.
St. Luke Academy believes a faith-based approach to learning nurtures the whole child intellectually, spiritually and socially.
