My experience with certain staff at this school has been amazing as "most" of the staff are filled with love and passion for their students. *I have concerns that ASA is and has been out of compliance with state and federal laws pertaining to students with IEP's and the IEP process. *I have concerns about paraprofessionals roles and responsibilities and being allowed to take over and teach Think Tank classroom which is a self contained classroom that is required by law to have a special education teacher (moderate/severe) to teach the classroom instead of a paraprofessional that isn't a licensed special education teacher. *I have concerns about humiliation tactics being used by long term subs in the gen Ed classrooms with students with IEP's. *I have concerns that when an incident happens at school that it isn't being reported to the parent or guardian within the legal timeframe which is 24 hours. *I have many other concerns about compliance with state & federal laws.
