It's a small school in a small town, so it's obviously not the best of the best, but it's still a very nice place to grow up.

Chugiak is pretty chill. Got some weird people who try to do weird stuff but overall I'm enjoying my high school experience here. The diversity on the other hand is sad. Not much you can do about it though

Overall, Chugiak High School is great. Almost all of the teachers I had really cared about their students as people, and there are a lot of teachers that put in a ton of extra work, both outside their contract hours and through supporting student extracurriculars. However, there is a lot of favoritism in the performing arts programs that I believe is largely ignored. I would like to see that change, and to see more than the same two or three students be given a chance in the spotlight.

Small town vibe that's connected to the very large Anchorage School District. Your child will likely have a good experience in English, Science, and History courses. If you child can teach themselves Math then they will do well. If your kiddo struggles (even just a little bit) they will have a hard...
