Our Lady of Charity School is a private Catholic elementary and middle school that serves more than 300 students from prekindergarten through eighth grade. The school offers an academic curriculum in English, reading, math and science that is aligned to several standards, including the Illinois Learning Standards, Common Core Standards and more. The school has recently revamped its Spanish curriculum to better meet the needs of its Spanish-speaking population.
The religious curriculum is designed to encourage students to embrace a Catholic identity that promotes Catholic sacraments, scriptures, liturgy and more. Students experience classes in music, physical education and technology on a weekly basis. Students can participate in sports offered including basketball, cross country, cheerleading and more. Clubs are also offered at this school including a reading club and a student newspaper.
Before and after-school care is also offered and provides students with tutoring, homework help, access to computers and snacks. Students can receive financial assistance through fundraising events.
