Two years ago, the school hired a new Super-intendant. Since then, he has continuously prioritized athletics over academics, forced teachers to resign, and defunded languages. The majority of the teachers I have had, had been great and showed general care for our education, mental well-being and future, however, the administration does not prioritize the students or the teachers.

Overall I have had a good experience at Abington Heights High school, they have challenging classes and decent teachers, however the facilities and building are extremely outdated.

I moved to the school district when I was a freshman, and coming into Abington Heights seemed like a daunting and overwhelming experience. Yet I remember feeling immediately at ease on my first day of school and I have loved it at AHHS ever since. I am now a senior at AHHS and I know I will miss the school, my peers, and my teachers a lot once I graduate but will always cherish the memories I made at my high school.

My son went to AHHS. He was enrolled in the honors program there for three years. He has acute ADHD. He had an IEP. The coursework was challenging. The special ed department was responsive. The vast majority of teachers were excellent. He came out of it with a 3.75 GPA, a scholarship award and got i...

This school yelled at my son for a stolen ID badge blaming it on him, this happened after he told them that he couldn’t identify the person who did it and they didn’t believe him. He didn’t have it for an entire week and still they didn’t care enough to help him. He has anxiety and an IEP that no on...

The school was horrible. The teachers never actually taught anything and would sometimes bully the students. Bullying is rampant and very violent. And home work was confusing and difficult to the point where at least 17 students dropped out because of them

The school ain't great but it's better than many of the schools in the area. I wouldn't say to not send your kids here but the administration can be corrupt and value athletics over education. Also, there seems to be a big drug problem in the school that seriously needs to be addressed.
