The principle Dr. Heaston is the best principal I as a student have ever had. He took Kenwood middle school and raised it up from the ashes. He works tirelessly to get the school to the top. They have a good band and choir program. They are also a very inclusive school. People often shy away from the Kenwood area because it's nickname Kenhood. But the middle school is not a hood school anymore. Not since Dr. Heaston took over.

My daughter has only went there for 3 days. She has been buillied. Called racist slurs. harassed multiple times. She has been attacked and beat up. This is not a safe school

This school has been a blessing for us and our child. The school prior to this never followed my son’s IEP and created behavioral challenges due to it. By the time we left there he lost his love for school and made to feel like he was worthless and a trouble maker. I was very concerned putting him b...

The teachers and administrators truly care about the students. It is not just about test scores but about the whole child.

This school has some great teachers, too bad they can't seem to keep them around very long. I blame this on some of the Vice principals being very unsupportive. Ms Walker, the eighth grade vice principal, is horrible and plays favorites with the kids and rarely backs up her teachers. Is it a wonder...
