GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school culture is amazing. Many students start from Kindergarten and all grow together so there's a sense of family. On the other hand though administration and student involvement in changes is poor. Many students feel as though their voices aren't heard by the administration. The facilities are quite old and with age comes some malfunction. We have quite the infestation of crickets at this time of year but so does every other school in our district. The teachers are about average with a few that excel at their jobs. The teachers and students all have good connections making classes more enjoyable for both parties. School spirit is high and though our teams be amazing the effort and drive is there to be their very best. The coaches whole heartedly want the best for every athlete that walks through the schools and will push them to be the best that they can. Growing up in Coahoma has given me a sense of community and a support system that I greatly appreciate.

The teachers at Coahoma are very good teachers. They actually care about their students and actively try to help them achieve anything they want to. When some ideas are a little far fetched, they are not afraid to tell students the truth, which is something I found to be very important. They are great leaders who are excellent educators. They never grade anything unfairly, and if someone thinks they did they are more than happy to go over everything with that student.

Spends below the state average per student for special education, discourages parent involvement. Is a cscope school
