GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Small town school with limited resources. Small class sizes are a bonus at times. Community not big on upgrades to the school.

Overall throughout my 4 years at this high school I can say that I have been given so many opportunities that other high schools would have not given me. I am a High School Senior with an IEP (individual education plan ). The teachers and faculty members want to see you succeed. You have to put in the work of course. They care about what they teach and how they do it. I'm glad also coming from a small school I got to make so many friends and get to do so many opportunities. With a school district of under 350 kids k-12 it has been the great pleasure to get educated at Coleman Jr/Sr High School

I have gone to coleman my entire life and have had many experiences both good and bad there. I think the school could benefit from stronger influence from administration and more strict rules from teachers.

The teachers, secretarial staff, and those involved with food service are wonderful. If your family is a legacy in the city, that's great. If you transfer in, you tend to get lost in the shuffle. If your child is highly active in sports, you get recognition, but if your child is there to study and l...

I was at this school last year, the bullying never ends, everyone at the school is aggresive and rude. Teachers fail students on purpose and admit to it, the special education "help" does nothing for the students at all.

There is a large lack of opportunity in the school. It is also taking in more students with learning disabilities than it can handle for money and not helping them.

The lack of special education opportunities for children who need that extra push is what gives the low score. When parents call out for extra help with their child's schooling, they are ignored. Instead of helping the chd out, by placing in a smaller classroom setting, they recommend medicating you...
