Colonial beach was a good school, and still is. We had metal detectors which made us feel safe. The teachers were easy to talk to, and they did everything they could help out with or college applications. When it came time for sports it was always a big deal.

There are pros and cons to the small size of this school. It gave me the opportunity to participate in all offered girls sports, get as much one-on-one help from the teachers, and allowed me to know and interact with my entire graduating class. On the other hand, there were limited AP classes, very few clubs or organizations, and teachers use this school as a stepping stone to larger schools so teachers change frequently.

I love that the entire school system is a family. My second child is graduating in June. My other child is a 2011 graduate. The school and teachers, support staff, and coaches have been instrumental in helping me raise my two children as a single parent. I truly believe in "it takes a village" and I am thankful and truly blessed that Colonial Beach School system is my village.

I don't recommend this school as they do not know how to follow a 504 plan and Dr.Jason Sears has made the school go down in quality in less than a year of him being there.

Please come visit us and make an appointment to meet with the principal or school counselor. We are always willing to meet parents and community members who want to learn about our school system as well as help us find ways to continually improve.

This school is way behind in academics. My children transferred from another school where they was in classes needed to graduate and got put in classes that aren't needed instead of put in classes that are needed because they don't have enough space to add anymore children in the main classes due to...

This Town has it all, and we just love it. The kids have so much to enjoy, and everyone is so friendly. It is great to take our dog for a walk together, and go to the games. The schools love their sports and outdoors, and the teachers are great folks and friends.
