Being in a magnet program really limits the classes you want to take, so I would suggest not being in a magnet but still taking the courses it offers. From personal experience, I have faced racism from certain teachers and was told it was their way of connecting with their students. Aside from that, they have staff members who make their classrooms feel like home and make learning enjoyable.

I loved being at Spring Valley although I was only there for my senior year. Since I experienced two other high schools, id have to say Spring Valley had the most resources and flexibility that made the experience fun. The classes were interactive and well equipped. The culture stayed fun and unpredictable. I really liked that as a senior you got to leave out earlier than everyone else.

School was good overall. Tend to let some students get away with questionable behavior which caused disruptions frequently. Staff was friendly and school is current with technology available.

Both of my children attended all four years Spring Valley. The opportunities are endless! They can choose from basic CP classes to a wide array of AP courses depending on what best suits their needs. The teachers are accommodating, kind, and willing to work with all students, as they genuinely care...

Wish I could rate it lower. I have never seen a dress code so outdated and borderline sexist. If a girl cannot wear dress code approved shorts, then what's the point? No wonder people have complained about the way these students get treated. You WILL be changing the dress code before this becomes a...
